Don’t let the greedy plumbers fool you! We know what welding is and how there are two types of welding. Welding is a basic process of connecting two pipes together and forming their fitting. There are many people with leaking pipes and connection problems. They call plumbers without doing their research about welding. Our Plumber Streatham talks about the two kinds of welding there are and which one would be best for which pipe. It is important to know what process your home is to go through prior to calling an amateur plumber which will probably ruin your work.
Our plumbers have been trained for both kinds of welding. The first one is the very conventional one. This welding deals with the firing torch and safety helmets and gloves. The process includes the plumber holding the torch right above the pipes which are to be connected. The edges of both pipes are places together and the torch is supposed to burn right up on their connection point. When the torch is turned on, there is fire burning the edges of the pipes. When the material of the pipes is burned enough, the pipes are forcibly pushed together to make them one entity. This process is used to connect aluminum and steel pipes.
A rather new form of welding is the solvent welding. With the advancement of plastic pipes in the house’s structure, there was a need to transform welding a bit as well. Solvent welding includes a burning solvent as the name indicates. Two pipes are placed together and their edged meet. The solvent is poured on the edges by the plumber. When the material of the pipes melt, the pipes are pushed together to become one. This process is used for plastic pipes. You need to know which welding is used for which pipe. Call us and we will deliver just the right fitting process for you.
